Position Overview & Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate to join our dynamic team. As an Associate, you will play a key role in all aspects of transaction execution, client engagement, and financial analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional looking to advance their career in investment banking and gain exposure to a diverse range of industries and transactions. 

At SDR, we evaluate all team members across our 3 C’s: Competence, Curiosity, and Commercial Presence. For the Associate role, we’re looking for these skills and traits across the 3 C’s.

Competence

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including valuation modeling, comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction analysis.
• Prepare detailed presentations, pitch materials, and offering memorandums for client meetings and transactions.
• Collaborate with senior team members to manage the transaction process, including due diligence, negotiations, and closing.

Curiosity

• Research industry trends, market conditions, and potential buyers or investors to support strategic decision-making.
• Anticipates potential challenging issues that may arise in a particular transaction
• Finds unique angles to complex situations
• Anticipates the needs of senior bankers and clients and meets those needs before being asked

Commercial

• Interacts with M&A market participants and provides them with clear and concise answers
• Provide high-quality client service by responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and ensuring deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
• Manage and mentor junior analysts, fostering their professional growth and development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field. MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred.
• 3-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft compelling presentations.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to collaboration.

Base Salary is $120,000 / year + substantial bonus opportunity
