Job Description

We’re a 50-person company with two locations, where growth is opportunistic and organic - focused on developing our people and strengthening our foundation. This Head of HR role is part of our Executive Leadership Team and will shape our people strategy, but given our size, it also requires someone willing to be hands-on when needed.

What you’ll do in this role:

Strategic HR Leadership

Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to align HR strategy with business objectives and anticipate workforce needs. Lead company-wide HR planning, budgeting, and succession development efforts.

Team Development & Coaching

Build and mentor a high-impact HR team. Serve as a member of the senior leadership team, working collaboratively across departments to drive company-wide performance and engagement.

Recruiting & Onboarding

Design and oversee inclusive, values-aligned recruiting and onboarding strategies that attract and retain top talent across both our New Gloucester, Maine and Bessemer, Alabama locations.

Culture & Employee Experience

Foster a healthy, collaborative, and engaged workplace culture. Provide guidance on conflict resolution and ensure all HR practices reflect our values and compliance standards.

Compensation, Benefits & Performance

Lead the design and evolution of compensation and benefit programs that are equitable and competitive. Establish performance collaboration frameworks that inspire achievement and growth.

This is an in-office leadership position based in our New Gloucester, Maine office at the beautiful Pineland Farms campus. Travel to our Alabama plant will be required monthly during the first six months, then quarterly thereafter. Some international travel to our partner location in China may also be required.
