Job Description

Hillside Winery is seeking a  General Manager to oversee our tasting room and retail operations in Sevierville, TN. This leadership role is responsible for driving revenue, managing day-to-day operations, and building a strong, customer-focused team.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, leads by example, and has a strong understanding of hospitality, retail, and team development.

• Oversee all daily operations of the tasting room and retail space

• Lead and develop staff, including hiring, training, and performance management

• Manage payroll, scheduling, and operational expenses

• Maintain accurate financial and tax-related record keeping

• Ensure a high-quality guest experience

• Track and report on performance metrics

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies

• Work closely with the VP of Operations on strategic goals and issues

• Proactively resolve challenges such as staffing, operations, or sales performance

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a leadership or general management role

• Strong financial acumen and operational management skills

• Excellent communication and decision-making abilities

• Customer-focused mindset with a passion for hospitality

• Ability to coach, motivate, and lead a team effectively

Compensation and Benefits:

• $60,000/year starting salary
