Operate forming machines (cold heading, hot forming, or similar) following established procedures. Set up and adjust machines for proper tooling, alignment, and production output. Inspect parts during and after production using precision measuring tools and visual checks. Monitor and maintain machine operation to prevent downtime. Record accurate production and inspection data. Perform routine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area. Partner with Quality and Maintenance teams to address process or equipment issues. Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe workplace.
Previous experience in manufacturing or production. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability. Ability to read part drawings and production specifications. Skilled in using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools. High attention to detail with consistent accuracy. Basic troubleshooting and machine adjustment capabilities. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment (lift up to 40 pounds, stand for extended periods). Ability to work the required shift and overtime as needed. Basic math and reading skills. Preferred experience with forming equipment such as cold headers or hot formers. Preferred familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement practices. Preferred prior experience in metal forming or automotive manufacturing.
