Job Title: Forklift Operator (Experienced)

Location: Lockbourne, Ohio

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our facility, including loading, unloading, and stacking products. This role requires demonstrated proficiency and a minimum of 1 year of experience operating sit-down forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate sit-down forklifts (electric and/or propane) to move, stack, and retrieve materials and products.
  • Load and unload trucks and trailers efficiently and safely.
  • Transport materials to and from designated areas, including production lines, storage racks, and shipping/receiving docks.
  • Perform daily pre-operation checks on equipment and report any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and complete necessary documentation (e.g., move tickets, shipping logs).
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and OSHA regulations.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including organizing and cleaning the work area.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent, verifiable experience operating sit-down forklifts (e.g., counterbalance, cushion tire).
  • Proven ability to safely and efficiently operate forklifts in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and material handling best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with the role (e.g., standing, walking, bending, reaching).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Forklift certification from an accredited training program.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems.
