With a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction, we're seeking a highly skilled and certified Fire Alarm Designer to join our growing team.

Position Summary:

As a Fire Alarm Designer , you will be responsible for the layout, design, and code-compliant documentation of fire alarm systems for various building types. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Installations, Service, AHJs, and clients to ensure high-quality system design that meets all applicable codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and layout fire alarm systems.
• Prepare accurate and complete submittal packages and permit drawings.
• Interpret and apply NFPA codes (particularly NFPA 72) and local jurisdiction requirements.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders, including electrical engineers, contractors, and AHJs.
• Review and apply technical specifications and scopes of work.
• Perform calculations, battery/load analysis, and voltage drop as required.
• Assist in field coordination and troubleshooting as needed.

Requirements:

• NICET Level III or higher in Fire Alarm Systems (required).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in fire alarm design.
• Strong understanding of NFPA 72 and relevant building/fire codes.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with permitting and submittals for AHJ review.

Preferred Qualifications:

• NICET Level III certification or higher.
• Experience with fire alarm control panels from major manufacturers (e.g., Silent Knight, Fire-Lite).
• Familiarity with low-voltage or integrated life safety systems.
