Job Description

Nordstrom is seeking an experienced Finance Data Model (FDM) Specialist to establish and execute strategies and programs in Finance and Accounting. This role will be critical to both the initial implementation and ongoing support of the company’s new Oracle ERP and EPM environments. The FDM Specialist will develop strategies to identify and address business issues and opportunities associated with the company’s new financial data model and associated data analytics layers. Additionally, this role will collaborate with partners across Finance, Product, and Technology to sustain, improve, and streamline data requirements and governance for all disciplines of Finance and Accounting. The successful candidate in this role will be an experienced expert in ERP/ EPM systems, understand Finance and Accounting data concepts, and apply those in a complex environment.

**This role is Hybrid Seattle, WA - 3 days per week in our downtown Seattle office. We are not offering relocation for this role.

A day in the life…

• Lead and support the implementation of Oracle Cloud ERP/ EPM platforms focus on data requirements, governance, and management, reconciliations, and data ownership of financial data on Nordstrom’s new Google Cloud Platform
• Provide expertise in configuring and governing Oracle Cloud Enterprise Data Management to meet business requirements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for finance data-related issues and provide troubleshooting and support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Product and Technology to ensure successful establishment, governance, and adoption of financial data.
• Lead and participate in system testing and end-user training.
• Provide support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users.
• Stay up to date on Oracle Cloud Financials functionality and updates.
• Provide technical/functional support to business development sales pursuits.
• Perform activities to source, govern, protect, and enhance data as an organizational asset
• Update and maintain data sourcing, cleansing, and entry tools
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness of Master Data across finance
• Provide root-cause insights of data quality issues and develop solutions

You own this if you have…

• An undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience demonstrating the ability to provide managerial and administrative direction for problem definition, analysis, requirements development, and implementation for complex systems.
• Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite and implementing or migrating to Oracle Fusion Cloud.
• Oracle Cloud SaaS certifications preferred.
• Functional professional with 1+ full lifecycle Oracle Fusion Cloud SaaS implementation preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated agility in managing ambiguity, with a strong ownership mindset to independently devise solutions to challenges and identify new opportunities.
• Proficient in Python and highly skilled in SQL, including experience with extracting large datasets, designing ETL workflows tools, and optimizing complex queries.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform including looker
• Excellent communication skills, capable of leading initiatives across multiple product areas and articulating findings to leadership and Insights teams.
• Experience in leading key technical projects and significantly influencing the scope and outputs of others, with strong project management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: $142,000-$220,500 Annually

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
