Estimating Coordinator

Commercial General Contractor – Ground-Up DSA & Public Works

About the Role:

Seeking an organized and detail-oriented Estimating Coordinator to join the preconstruction team. This role offers the opportunity to work on ground-up DSA and public works projects while gaining hands-on exposure to the estimating process. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, proactive, and looking to grow into a long-term role with mentorship and training provided by experienced estimators and project leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the estimating team with coordination of bid documents, addenda, and subcontractor communications.
• Assist in developing bid packages and distributing plans/specifications to trade partners.
• Track subcontractor outreach, prequalification, and bid coverage to ensure competitive proposals.
• Maintain estimating logs, bid calendars, and other internal tracking systems.
• Participate in review of drawings and specifications to identify scope requirements.
• Assist in quantity take-offs, scope comparisons, and assembling final estimates.
• Help coordinate pre-bid meetings and site walks.
• Organize and maintain estimating files, proposals, and historical cost data.
• Provide general administrative and logistical support to the estimating/preconstruction team.

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of construction or estimating-related experience preferred (internship or entry-level exposure acceptable for strong candidates).
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred, but not required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work on multiple bids simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; exposure to Bluebeam, BuildingConnected, or other estimating software a plus.
• Interest in pursuing a career in estimating with a willingness to learn from senior staff.
