Director of Leasing - First Amherst Development | Amherst, NY

Join First Amherst Development as our Director of Leasing and play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our commercial and residential property portfolio. We’re seeking a strategic leader to drive leasing operations, digital marketing, and occupancy, while fostering strong relationships with tenants and brokers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute leasing strategies to maximize occupancy and revenue.
• Develop, design, and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies to attract and retain tenants for commercial and residential properties.
• Oversee the creation, execution, and optimization of digital marketing campaigns across channels such as social media, email, SEO, and paid advertising.
• Collaborate with the team to coordinate advertising campaigns, broker mailings, direct mail, email blasts, social media, and website updates.
• Oversee the creation and distribution of marketing materials, property listings, and promotional content.
• Present and showcase available commercial and residential spaces to prospective tenants, ensuring a positive and informative experience.
• Oversee lease administration: manage negotiations, renewals, compliance, and maintain accurate records.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate the leasing team to achieve performance goals.
• Negotiate lease agreements and renewals, balancing company interests with positive tenant experiences.
• Build and maintain relationships with tenants, brokers, and community partners.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to adjust marketing and leasing strategies for maximum effectiveness.
• Track and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and lead generation efforts.
• Collaborate with property management, legal, and finance teams to streamline processes.
• Prepare regular reports on leasing performance, forecasts, and market conditions.
• Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities, and community functions to promote available spaces and the company brand.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive leasing and marketing experience in commercial and multifamily properties, including management roles.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing digital marketing strategies and campaigns for real estate leasing.
• Deep understanding of lease administration and real estate markets (commercial and residential).
• Proficiency with digital marketing tools, CRM systems, and social media platforms.
• Strong negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling marketing materials and presentations.
• Ability to analyze market data, lease documents, financial reports, and marketing performance metrics.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with lease administration software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with the Yardi software platform is a plus.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively across teams.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to travel to various local properties and attend meetings as needed.
