CMM Programmer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CMM Programmer to join our team. This
role will be responsible for programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) using PC-DMIS and PolyWorks software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metrology, with the ability to work on both R&D and production parts for our aviation, space, defense, and medical device customers.
CMM Programmer Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize CMM programs using PC-DMIS and PolyWorks software to inspect R&D and production parts.
- Conduct thorough dimensional inspections of machined components, assemblies, and products to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and customer requirements.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to support the development and implementation of new products and processes.
- Perform regular maintenance and calibration of CMM equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of measurements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to CMM programming, equipment, or measurement processes.
- Learn and operate other automated inspection equipment, including 3D scanners, to support production and quality teams as needed.
- Provide inspection support to production teams, including first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final inspections, as required.
- Document and maintain accurate records of inspection results, procedures, and equipment maintenance activities.
- Participate in training sessions as required to remain current with industry advancements and best practices.
- Authorized to sign off on final inspections upon meeting established quality standards and compliance
CMM Programmer Requirements:
- Candidates must possess a training certificate of completion from a recognized technical training center as a prerequisite for consideration.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience programming and operating CMM equipment using PC-DMIS and/or PolyWorks software.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace, defense, or medical device industries.
- Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and technical specifications.
