About Mindbodyology Inc. Mindbodyology Inc. is a U.S.-based holistic mental health and wellness company devoted to integrating the mind, body, and soul into everything we do. We blend clinical expertise with spiritual wisdom to offer transformational care that honors the full human experience. We're not just building a company — we're building a movement. Our remote team is made up of highly intentional, mission-driven professionals, and we're currently seeking a soul-aligned collaborating physician who understands that supervisory work is sacred when done with care and purpose. If you're open-minded, aligned with integrative and holistic approaches to mental health, and want your oversight to support real healing in the world — you may be the perfect fit. About the Role We are seeking a licensed psychiatrist or physician to serve as a Collaborating Physician for our team of Nurse Practitioners (NPs) in California. This is a part-time, remote role requiring approximately 8-12 hours per month of oversight and collaboration. You will provide clinical supervision and prescriptive authority support for 2 Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) working in our integrative mental health practice. This position is ideal for a physician who values holistic, integrative approaches and is comfortable supporting clients who wish to be safely weaned off medications under proper clinical guidance, alongside those who benefit from medication management. Primary Responsibilities Serve as the collaborating physician for 2 PMHNPs in compliance with California regulations Review and co-sign charts as required by state law (estimated 5-10 charts per month) Be available for consultation regarding complex cases or prescriptive questions Maintain open communication with NPs via secure messaging or scheduled brief check-ins Ensure compliance with all California Board of Medicine and collaborative practice requirements Support an integrative, patient-centered approach that includes both pharmacological and holistic interventions Requirements Licensure & Credentials: Active, unrestricted California medical license (MD or DO) Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine Valid DEA registration Current malpractice insurance Experience & Alignment: Minimum 2 years of clinical practice experience (post-residency) Open to integrative and holistic mental health approaches Comfortable supporting safe medication tapering when clinically appropriate Experience supervising or collaborating with NPs/PAs (preferred but not required) Alignment with our mission of whole-person, integrative care Technical & Professional: Comfortable using secure communication platforms (email, Google Workspace, telehealth platforms) Reliable internet connection for remote collaboration Strong communication skills and responsiveness Professional, compassionate approach to supervision Schedule & Commitment Part-time, remote position (8-12 hours per month) Flexible schedule — chart reviews and consultations can be completed on your own time Availability for periodic video check-ins with NP team (1-2x per month, 30 minutes each) No on-call requirements No direct patient care required (oversight and consultation only) Compensation Based on current market research for collaborating physician roles in California: Monthly retainer: $700 - $1,200/month depending on experience and involvement level Hourly rate alternative: $100 - $150/hour for chart review and consultation time (if preferred over monthly retainer) We are open to discussing the compensation structure that works best for you, whether that's a flat monthly fee or hourly payment. Compensation will be formalized in a written collaborative practice agreement. What We Offer Meaningful work supporting holistic, transformational mental health care Flexibility — work remotely on your own schedule Low time commitment — ideal for physicians seeking supplemental income or semi-retirement work Supportive, mission-driven team — work with NPs who are highly trained and clinically competent Clear expectations and professional communication Growth potential — as our practice expands, there may be opportunities for increased hours or compensation To Apply Please submit the following: Your updated CV/resume A brief cover letter or email (2-3 paragraphs) explaining: Your interest in this role and alignment with integrative/holistic mental health Your experience with psychiatric medication management and/or medication tapering Your availability and preferred compensation structure (monthly retainer vs. hourly) Proof of current California medical license (can be submitted upon initial interest) Optional but appreciated: A brief voice note (1-2 minutes) introducing yourself and sharing why you'd like to collaborate with Mindbodyology Location Remote (must be licensed in California) Our practice serves clients throughout California, with a focus in North County San Diego
