Dementia Screening Support
Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking reliable and professional Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) to support a dementia screening program in nursing home settings. This non-clinical role focuses on administering a single component of the Creyos Dementia Screening Tool. It’s an excellent opportunity for CAN/CMAs looking for a low-stress, meaningful position that doesn’t involve direct patient care tasks. This contract position offers independent work, and the chance to make a real impact in the senior care communities.
Position Summary:
In this role, the CNA will be responsible for performing a single designated component of the Creyos Dementia Screening tools. This is a focused position involving no direct patient care or additional CNA responsibilities. This role requires strong communication skills and comfort working independently in long-term care facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to assigned nursing home facilities as scheduled
- Administer one specific component of the Creyos Dementia Screening tool, as trained and instructed
- Providing a pleasant and positive experience for the patient through excellent “customer service” skills, positive and welcoming approach with a smile in your voice
- Engage residents in a respectful and patient manner during the assessment process
- Ensure accurate execution of the assigned screening task, following strict protocol
- Record and submit data or observations as directed
- Communicate effectively with on-site staff and report to a clinical lead or program coordinator
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and uphold resident confidentiality at all times
- Represent Kelly Services and the client organization in a professional and courteous manner
Qualifications:
- Active CNA or CMA certification in the state of practice
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (local travel required)
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and standardized protocols
- Strong interpersonal and observational skills
- Self-directed and reliable, with the ability to work independently in a clinical environment
- Previous experience with elderly or cognitively impaired populations is preferred
- Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, employer references, and background check
Work Conditions:
- Travel between facilities within a local region may be required
- Work is task-based and may involve variable scheduling (weekday and/or weekend)
- Role is non-clinical—no lifting, physical care, or medication administration involved
- Working within a Nursing Home environment with mostly geriatric patients
