Job Description

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Budget Project Manager to join their team! This position is located in Bellevue, Washington.

Duties:

  • Manage capital budgets for the PNW engineering team, including daily tracking of available budget, spend, commitments, and tracking towards monthly targets
  • Prepare periodic financial reports and present budget updates to leadership and stakeholders
  • Forecast monthly spend using run rates and project forecasts
  • Determine any budget deltas from forecast at the end of the month and summarize the reasons for the business
  • Collaborate with the various engineering teams to ensure the OCNR is kept up-to-date with minimal post-due POs and that PO due dates are in the month that invoicing is expected
  • Drive invoicing and spend to meet or exceed the forecasted monthly spend
  • Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for cost savings and efficiency improvements
  • Manage budget adjustments to accommodate shifting budgetary needs throughout the year
  • Perform periodic tracking of unit costs per program and identifying any significant deltas from budgeted numbers
  • Send periodic reports on overall and monthly POR and budget status
  • Ensure projects are properly placed in service to keep market WIP to a minimum
  • Track and forecast expense spend for the market

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proven experience in project management and budget control, preferably in an engineering environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets and financial analytics tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively

The approximate pay range for this position is between $34.00 and $49.00 . Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
