As we continue to expand our digital capabilities, we are seeking a BIM Coordinator to help drive our project delivery and support our design and detailing teams with advanced BIM solutions.

About the Role

A BIM Coordinator will be responsible for managing Revit BIM projects and supporting various teams with advanced BIM solutions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and manage Revit BIM projects for piping and industrial construction, ensuring alignment with UPI’s project requirements and standards.
• Assist in the development and implementation of BIM Execution Plans tailored to piping and fabrication workflows.
• Manage Navisworks models, maintain project clash detection reports, and coordinate with project teams to resolve issues.
• Develop, document, and maintain Revit standard practices, content, families, and scripts specific to piping and MEP systems.
• Support the adoption and maintenance of Revit add-ons and scripting software to enhance project efficiency.
• Conduct project model quality reviews and participate in project coordination meetings with engineers, designers, and field teams.
• Liaise between the department manager and designers, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
• Assist with VDC/BIM/CAD training for team members, focusing on piping and industrial construction applications.
• Work with laser scan point cloud data for integration into design and fabrication workflows.
• Stay current with new technology and software, supporting R&D efforts to enhance design, detailing, and fabrication processes.
• Multi-task effectively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment, demonstrating strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Revit, Revit add-ons, and scripting software (e.g., Dynamo, Python), with a focus on piping and MEP systems.
• Experience with Navisworks and clash detection workflows in industrial or construction settings.
• Solid understanding of the AEC and MEP industry, especially piping fabrication and installation.
• Experience working with laser scan point cloud data.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Technology-inclined, with a passion for continuous learning and process improvement.
• Experience in developing and maintaining BIM content, families, and scripts for piping and fabrication.
• Ability to assist in training and mentoring team members on BIM/VDC/CAD tools and workflows.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience as a BIM Coordinator or similar role in the piping, fabrication, or industrial construction industry.
• Familiarity with project model quality review processes and fabrication workflows.
• Experience supporting technology R&D and evaluating new software solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
