This part‑time position offers the opportunity to work with a strong, well‑established band program and a supportive fine arts community that values musical excellence and student growth. Position Overview Assist with the Wylie High School Band and Non‑Varsity Middle School Band. Teach three beginner band classes at West Middle School. Collaborate with the middle school and high school band staff to plan and implement rehearsals, performances, and events. Support the vision and goals of the Wylie ISD band program while fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. Schedule & Commitment Part‑time: 5 teaching periods per day. Potential to transition to a full‑time position beginning in the 2026–2027 school year, depending on program needs and enrollment growth. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field (required). Valid Texas Teaching Certificate with appropriate music certification (or eligibility for Texas certification). Strong background in instrumental music education, including experience with beginner and intermediate band students. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
