Job Responsibilities:

Scalo Inc is seeking an experienced AutoCAD Technician with a keen eye for detail, proven proficiency with the latest versions of AutoCAD, and the administrative skills needed to support our sales and operations teams for Burns & Scalo Roofing and Scalo Solar Solutions. This person will be responsible for all the post-sale administrative duties, including the creation of shop drawings. 

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for post sale administrative functions including but not limited to warranty registration, shop drawings/product submittals, as built drawings, managing submittal log.
• Utilize AutoCAD to create presentable and accurate roofing plans for sales department and clients.
• Assist the Solar Company with various Electrical Code projects and drawings
• Solar Photovoltaic Design & Layout, consisting of:
• Combining CAD layers of Roof Plans, Electrical roof plans and Mechanical roof plans to determine every penetration, obstruction and mechanical unit that affects the potential layout of a solar array. 
• Act as a liaison to the sales and operations department to ensure a proper hand off from sales to operations to provide the best customer experience possible
• Produce accurate and timely reproductions
• Apply industry-specific drafting codes and standards for all drawings
• Attend weekly sales meeting, complete weekly coordinators report
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Job Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Computer Aided Drafting or equivalent work experience
• High proficiency of CAD software and PC usage
• Possess ability to interpret architectural drawings, mathematical and structural concepts, and construction methods 
• Possess ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Possess Customer Care focus and have ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
• Strong time management, attention to detail, and organization skills to remain focused while managing your own schedule
• Related computer and technical skills (Microsoft Office Required; Experience with estimating or project management programs a plus)
• Strong and creative written and oral communication and presentation skills
• Roofing/construction industry experience or sales/estimating experience is a plus

Salary: $50,000 - $55,000 per year
