Overview Associate Engineer - Core Services at Shipt. This is an entry-level software engineering role focused on designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining software solutions. You will contribute to multiple phases of the software development lifecycle, from planning and development to deployment and support, writing clean, efficient, and scalable code, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring quality standards and customer needs are met. What You’ll Do Write, test, and deploy high-quality code, adhering to best practices in software engineering Collaborate with senior engineers for code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards Participate in unit testing, integration testing, and debugging to ensure software functionality Work with cross-functional teams including product managers and designers to gather requirements and deliver software solutions Maintain and update technical documentation related to software designs, APIs, and development processes Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in software development and apply new skills to improve project outcomes Analyze and troubleshoot software problems, providing prompt solutions to minimize downtime and improve user experience About You College degree, boot-camp certification, or equivalent experience Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues Proactive communication, asks clarifying questions Desire to learn and develop professionally Understanding of API design and web service integration Comfortable working with a distributed team On-call shifts may be required depending on the team Work Arrangement Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, with flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office. Pay Range Metro Areas of Boston, District of Columbia, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and New York City: $75,900-$151,700. All other locations: $63,100-$126,300. Salary ranges are guidelines and total compensation varies by qualifications, location, and other factors.
