Benson Mills, America’s top Table Linens company is a family-owned business. We are proud to be the largest Table Linen Manufacturer in the United States, offering the largest and most diverse line of table linens and placemats with our design studio Manhattan.

We are actively seeking a print textile designer to join our team. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is required for this position. Watercolor artists and/or artists specializing in botanical/floral prints preferred.

Responsibilities

The print textile designer is responsible for:

• Creating and preparing artwork for factory use
• Creating factory-ready artwork tech packages
• Cleaning up hand-drawn artwork for printing
• Indexing artwork and performing color adjustments
• Recoloring existing artwork to suit different tones and seasons.
• Creating colorway options for specific design categories
• Creating original artwork designs based off inspiration

Skills Required:

Our ideal candidate will possess the following:

• 4 + years of experience working in home fashion textile design
• Undergraduate degree in Textiles Design or related field preferred
• Extensive experience and talent working with printed textiles
• Complete knowledge of indexing artwork & creating repeats
• Complete knowledge of Photoshop (Illustrator a plus)
• Good color sense to c­reate colorways
• Painting and drawing skills to work from scratch is a plus
• Experience with jacquards and woven textiles is a plus
• Knowledge of print techniques for textile printing is a plus
• Excellent organizational skills for computer files and vendor information
• Strong sense of technical knowledge
• Desire to exceed expectations and self-motivate.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and adapt to change
• Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
• Must have ability to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
