Job Description

CornerStone Professional Placement has partnered with a local airline servicer in their search for a General Manager to join their team in Oklahoma City, OK. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a competitive salary range of $90,000 – $100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the client service business, with a strong focus on financial performance, customer service, and operational excellence. This is a highly visible leadership role requiring prior airline or airport industry experience and a proactive approach to managing people, processes, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage station operations, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLA) and performance targets
  • Oversee and implement the Safety Management System (SMS) and related safety plans
  • Ensure full compliance with FAA/TSA regulations, safety procedures, and company policies
  • Manage and coach frontline supervisors and staff to drive service quality and employee engagement
  • Conduct regular audits and safety briefings; analyze trends and implement corrective actions
  • Serve as the liaison with local airport/airline managers and government agencies (e.g., FAA)
  • Handle employee relations issues and disciplinary actions as needed
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of operational, safety, and compliance metrics
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment and ensure equipment and PPE compliance
  • Foster a culture of professionalism, safety, and high performance across the team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of management experience, preferably in the aviation/airline industry
  • Prior experience in an airport or airline operations environment is required
  • Strong leadership and supervisory experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Must be 18 years or older with reliable transportation and phone access
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, sit, bend throughout the shift
  • Must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment/random drug screening
  • Must meet eligibility requirements for an airport security-sensitive identification badge
  • Travel may be required
